It was a beautiful day for dining outside at Redfish at Matthison Hammock Park among the palm trees and water. We had a coworker getogether to catch up on things and celebrate a birthday. I ordered the Brown Sugar Crusted Salmon, which was the best salmon I have ever had! My friends ordered the Ceviche and the Cobb Salad and were raving. Our server was wonderful and very attentive to our needs. Lastly, I was served with the incredibly delicious Bread Pudding. Yum!! We had a wonderful time and plan to return as soon as possible.

I came here for my birthday and had thee most incredible time thanks to Bobby (i think that was his name). The best waiter ever! So note that this 4 star is not because of service. Now I did not realize that this restaurant was so tucked away. I made a U-turn from the park entrance several times because I just knew that GPS was steering us wrong. Until finally the man made himself noticeable and we asked him for further directions. We did have to wait a bit for the party before us to finish their meal but it actually worked out fine since some of my party was late. When we were finally seated ever thing was going fine until the drizzle turned into a light rain. We couldn't be accommodated to be moved inside because another big party was already there. Therefore we had to be split up. This is the reason for the 4 stars. As a restaurant in South Florida that is advertising itself as an upscale restaurant, should have retractable awnings. South Florida weather is just too unpredictable for umbrellas that do not span across the entire table. At any rate perhaps tables that have umbrellas coming from the center of the table instead of roll away umbrellas that can only come up from the side. Due to the rain, it was a little chilly not to mention it is right on the water. There were some heaters sitting off to the side. When we inquired about them, we were told that they hadn't worked since the last hurricane. Now either that was the truth or they didn't feel like bringing them over. This literally was the only hinderance to my birthday celebration. However, Bobby went above and beyond to keep the festive spirits going.

Come for the views, the food is a plus! Pricey as expected , mediocre service , good food and amazing views from the roof top! Our experience is based on a Saturday afternoon, no reservations and full service at the bar. Very good atmosphere and really good white wine sangria. The fried snapper and sea bass where excellent and the Fried calamari was pretty good. If you can make reservations ahead of time and get a roof top table, the views are very nice !

I have seen a lot of mixed reviews for this place so my expectations were not super high. To my surprise, the experience and food was quite lovely and I was thinking maybe others just came on in bad day/ordered the wrong thing? Definitely make a reservation before coming here. We did have to wait at the outside bar for 25 minutes even though we had a reservation which was unfortunate but luckily we were not in a hurry so it was still enjoyable and the view of the ocean was great. For dinner, we ordered the Whole Main Lobster and it was cooked perfectly. We also had the 28 oz Porterhouse Steak (medium rare) which was equally delicious! It was pretty expensive so this will probably be a spot for special occasions. Expect to pay around $150-$200 for 2 people if you are also getting drinks. Full parking lot next to the restaurant which you pay hourly.

Redfish was exquisite! Our starter plate was the ceviche. Had mango and jalapeño. The perfect combination of sweet / spicy and citric. The flavor was a definite hit. Food was delicious and well seasoned. We order the Cioppo seafood stew. Can I just say how delicious and filling that was. I love a good stew and this one right here had me looking up recipes so I can re create it at home. My husband order the seared salmon. Honestly it could have been better. It was burnt on the top side. And the presentation in that plate was ok. Service at our table was great! Our server surprised us with a dessert and it was such a sweet gesture. Service overall was ok. You can tell some servers where rushing and some were more calm. Parking was great but the smell of fish is the first thing you smell. Ambiance overall could have been better. The table we sat was not balanced so it always wiggled when we put our arms on it.
